Rok Dedic is a senior Air Force leader transitioning to the private sector, bringing over 20 years of expertise in strategic planning, operational execution, and innovation across the national security landscape.
On Capitol Hill, Rok served as the Deputy Chief of House Affairs for the Department of the Air Force, where he shaped the Department’s engagement strategy, building crucial connections between senior Air and Space Force leadership and congressional offices. Leading a team of ten, Rok played a key role in securing the Department’s legislative priorities in successive National Defense Authorization Acts.
At the Department of Defense, Rok held a pivotal role as Military Assistant in the Secretary of Defense’s Executive Secretariat. He directed high-stakes information flows and decision-making processes among the Secretary’s office, the Pentagon, interagency partners, and Congress. Acting as Special Assistant, he supported the creation of the Office of Strategic Capital, a groundbreaking federal program designed to attract private capital in support of national security, magnifying the impact of public-private partnerships.
In the Air Force’s Executive Action Group, Rok aligned strategic engagements and crafted influential messaging to further Air Force priorities with Congress, industry leaders, and international allies, amplifying the Air Force’s voice in critical discussions. Previously, he was Aide-de-Camp to the Air Force Chief of Staff when General Brown was the Commander, United States Air Forces Central Command. In this role, Rok facilitated critical communication, logistics, and strategy alignment to enable the General’s focus on mission success and coalition-building efforts.
Rok’s staff experience includes a tenure with the Air Force’s Skunk Works team, where he focused on future-oriented strategy and concept development. He was also instrumental in founding the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability, transforming how the Department modernizes and programs each fiscal year. Rok’s operational background is as a combat pilot with nearly 1,000 combat hours among his 3,000 total flight hours.
Rok holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy. He has also earned a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, a Master of Science in Airpower Strategy and Technology Integration from Air University, and a Master of Arts in international relations from Harvard University.
